Where do Karachi residents apply for each visa?
USA: Karachi is one of only two places in Pakistan where US visas are processed. The US Consulate General in Karachi handles nonimmigrant visas, including B1/B2 visit visas, by appointment. Book the Karachi post when scheduling if it suits you; wait times differ between Karachi and Islamabad. See our USA visit visa guide.
Germany: residents of Sindh and Balochistan apply at the German Consulate-General in Karachi after registering on its waiting list (German Missions).
Other Schengen countries:
- At VFS/Gerry's, Bahria Complex IV: Netherlands (also Finland), Belgium (also Luxembourg), Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Hungary (also Lithuania and Estonia).
- Italy: BLS-Intiana (intianaitalyvisa.com), named by the Italian Embassy, has a Karachi centre; check the address on that site.

Practical tips for Karachi visa appointments
- Bahria Complex IV houses both VFS (4th floor) and the Chinese centre (9th floor). Check which floor your appointment is on.
- Allow for Clifton traffic around Khayaban-e-Iqbal and Chaudhry Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road during office hours.
- The US Consulate has strict security. Bring only your appointment letter, passport and documents; large bags and electronics are restricted.
- Book only on official websites. Do not pay touts for appointments; see how to spot visa scams.

What are the VFS Karachi timings?
VFS Global's pages list Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 for UK applicants and 09:00 to 17:00 for Canada applicants at the Karachi centre. Attend at your booked appointment time.
Does the US Consulate in Karachi issue visit visas?
Yes. The US Consulate General in Karachi, at Plot 3, 4, 5, New TPX Area, Mai Kolachi Road, conducts nonimmigrant visa interviews, which include B1/B2 visit visas. Interviews are by appointment only.
Where is the Chinese visa centre in Karachi?
