Chapter 02
Can Pakistanis get a Baku visit visa in 2026?
Yes. Pakistani passport holders can get a Baku visit visa in 2026 online through Azerbaijan's ASAN Visa system at evisa.gov.az. There is no need to visit the embassy for a normal tourist trip. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad explains that single and multiple electronic visas are issued through ASAN Visa, which is run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.
Key rules for the e-Visa:
- Single entry, valid for 90 days from issue
- Stay up to 30 days
- Standard issue within 3 working days; urgent within 3 hours, even on holidays
- Applied and paid online; you receive the e-Visa by email and print it
Chapter 03
Which website is the official Azerbaijan e-visa site?

The only official Azerbaijan e-Visa website is evisa.gov.az. Azerbaijan's own embassy page says "to avoid fraud websites please use only the official e-Visa website" (MFA mission page).
Lookalike sites rank in Google from Pakistan. The most common is evisa.govt.az, which differs from the official address by one letter ("govt" instead of "gov"). When we checked on 13 October 2026, its own disclaimer said it is managed by "E-Services", a private entity, and that applicants can apply directly on the official government portal. Private sites charge their own fees on top of the government fee.
How to make sure you are on the right site:
- Type evisa.gov.az yourself. Do not click ads.
- The fee shown is USD 20 standard or USD 50 urgent, not a large "package" price.
- If a site says it is "not affiliated with the government" or "a private entity", leave.

Chapter 04
How much is the Baku visit visa fee for Pakistanis?
The official Azerbaijan e-Visa fee is USD 20 (≈ PKR 5,500) for standard processing and USD 50 (≈ PKR 13,800) for urgent processing, according to Azerbaijan's foreign ministry and the Embassy in Islamabad's state fee page (single-entry state fee USD 20), checked on 13 October 2026.
| Visa | Official fee | Our service fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| e-Visa, standard (3 working days) | USD 20 (≈ PKR 5,500) | Quote on WhatsApp | Official fee + our fee |
| e-Visa, urgent (3 hours) | USD 50 (≈ PKR 13,800) | Quote on WhatsApp | Official fee + our fee |
| Multiple-entry visa (embassy) | USD 200 (≈ PKR 55,400) | On request | — |
Things to know:
- A possible USD 9 service charge. Pakistan Observer reported in January 2026 that the standard e-Visa costs USD 20 plus a USD 9 service fee (USD 29 in total). The ministry pages we checked list USD 20. The amount shown on evisa.gov.az at checkout is what you pay.
- Card payment. You pay online by card. Your Pakistani bank may add a foreign-currency charge.
- Non-refundable. The embassy states state fees are not refunded if a visa is refused.
- "Baku visa price" in PKR from agents includes their service charge, and sometimes tickets and hotels. We always show the government fee and our fee separately on the fees page.

Chapter 05
What documents do Pakistanis need for an Azerbaijan e-visa?
For the online e-Visa, the portal itself asks for very little: your passport details, a scan of your passport bio page, your travel dates and address in Azerbaijan, an email address, and an online payment. We advise a passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival.
The bigger document check for Pakistanis happens at the Pakistani airport (FIA) and sometimes at Baku arrival. Prepare these by applicant type:
If you are employed
- Employer leave letter or NOC on letterhead with designation and leave dates
- Last 3 salary slips and a salary-account bank statement
- Government employees: departmental NOC, original shown at FIA (FIA FAQ)
If you run a business
- Business NTN certificate and latest FBR tax return
- Chamber of Commerce or SECP registration
- Personal and business bank statements
If you are a student
- Student card or enrolment letter
- Parent's sponsorship letter, CNIC copy and bank statement
- NADRA FRC showing the relationship
If you are a housewife or dependent
- Travel with or show your spouse's documents and bank statement
- Nikah nama or FRC
- Sponsorship letter from your spouse if travelling separately
If you are retired
- Pension book or pension account statement
- Bank statement and retirement proof
If you are a freelancer
- Bank statement with regular foreign remittances (and PRCs where available)
- FBR tax return and NTN
- Contracts or platform earnings statements
For families: each traveller, including children, needs their own e-Visa. Carry the FRC and, if a child travels with one parent, an NOC from the other parent.
Tip: tap an item to tick it off. Your ticks stay on this device.
Chapter 06
How much bank balance do you need for Baku?
Azerbaijan does not publish a minimum bank balance for the e-Visa. The practical test is FIA at the Pakistani airport, which asks visit-visa travellers for sufficient funds and accepts credit card limits (FIA FAQ).
Our advice: carry a recent bank statement and a card with enough balance to cover a 30-day stay, hotels and your return. The balance should look natural for your income. Do not use borrowed money deposited for the trip.
Chapter 07
How to apply for the Baku e-visa, step by step
- Open evisa.gov.az (type it; check the address has ".gov.az").
- Choose your nationality (Pakistan), travel dates and standard or urgent processing.
- Enter passport details exactly as printed and upload your passport bio page.
- Add your address in Azerbaijan (your hotel) and your email.
- Pay online by card (USD 20 standard or USD 50 urgent, plus any charge shown at checkout).
- Receive the e-Visa by email within 3 working days (standard) or 3 hours (urgent). Print it.
- Book and pay for your hotel, keep your return ticket, and prepare your FIA documents.

Chapter 08
How long does the Azerbaijan e-visa take?
A standard ASAN e-Visa is issued within 3 working days, and an urgent one within 3 hours, regardless of holidays and non-working days (Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad). Working days follow Azerbaijan's calendar, so a Friday application can finish the following week.
We recommend applying at least a week before your flight and choosing urgent only if you are flying within 3 days.
Chapter 09
Why Azerbaijan e-visas get refused (and how to avoid it)
Most refusals and problems for Pakistani applicants are avoidable:
| Problem | How to avoid it |
|---|---|
| Wrong passport number, name order or date of birth | Copy details from the passport's machine-readable zone |
| Unclear or cropped passport scan | Upload a sharp colour scan of the full bio page |
| Applied on a lookalike site that never submitted the application | Only use evisa.gov.az |
| Previous overstay or entry ban in Azerbaijan | Disclose honestly; overstays lead to fines and bans |
| Applying for the wrong purpose | Choose tourism; visitors cannot take up paid work |
Working on a visit visa is illegal in Azerbaijan and in Pakistan can lead to prosecution under the Emigration Ordinance. We only assist genuine visitors.
Chapter 10
What happens at the airport? (FIA and arrival checks)
At the Pakistani airport: FIA immigration checks visit-visa travellers. The FIA FAQ lists a valid passport, a return ticket, a confirmed hotel booking with advance payment, sufficient funds (credit card funds acceptable) and a sound profile. Carry on paper and on your phone:
- Printed e-Visa
- Return ticket (ideally on the same booking)
- Paid hotel booking for all nights
- Bank statement and cards
- Employer NOC, business papers or student documents
- Travel insurance
- Polio vaccination certificate if required for your departure
Read our offloading checklist the day before you fly. Nobody can promise you will not be questioned; a complete, genuine file is the best preparation.
On arrival in Baku: show your passport and printed e-Visa. If you stay more than 15 days, you must be registered at your place of residence (Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad); ask your hotel whether it does this for you.

Chapter 11
Pakistanis living in the UAE or Saudi Arabia
Pakistanis living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Gulf apply for the same ASAN e-Visa at evisa.gov.az with their Pakistani passport and pay the same fee. Flights from Dubai and other Gulf cities to Baku are short and direct, which makes Baku a popular weekend trip.
Keep your Emirates ID or iqama valid well beyond your return date, carry your residence visa copy, and book your return to the Gulf. FIA checks do not apply when you leave from the Gulf, but airline staff still check your e-Visa and return ticket.
