Chapter 01
What the eligibility checker does (and does not do)
The checker looks at the same broad things that visa officers say they assess: whether your purpose is genuine, whether you can pay for the trip, and whether your life in Pakistan gives you reasons to come back. The UK Home Office, for example, publishes its Visit: caseworker guidance (last updated 8 October 2026), which explains how visitor decisions are made and notes that supporting documents must match what you wrote about your finances and income on the form. Most other embassies weigh similar points.
What the checker does:
- scores your answers with a fixed, published formula (shown below);
- tells you which answers lowered your score and what would fix them;
- links you to the document checklist for your destination.
What the checker does not do:
- it does not know the embassy's internal rules or the officer's view on the day;
- it does not check whether your documents are genuine, which only the embassy can do;
- it is not a prediction or a promise of approval. A Strong result can still be refused, and a Moderate file can be approved.

Chapter 03
How your file strength score is calculated
Your score is the total of the points in the table above, out of 100. We show the formula openly because a score you cannot check is not useful. The points reflect what typically strengthens a Pakistani visit-visa file:
- Travel history (up to 20 points). Previous trips where you returned on time are among the strongest evidence that you will return again.
- Occupation and tax record (up to 25 points). A permanent salary, a registered business, a pension, and a steady FBR tax record show a stable life in Pakistan.
- Income and funds (up to 25 points). Income you can document, a balance that covers the trip with room to spare, and money that built up normally over months.
- Ties to Pakistan (up to 10 points). Family, property, studies or a business that you are coming back to.
- Clean history (up to 10 points). No refusals, or refusals you have since fixed.
- Purpose and funding (up to 10 points). A clear reason to travel, and a payer who can prove the money.
Thresholds by destination
| Destination group | Countries | Strong | Moderate | Needs work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group A: e-visa and agent-filed visas | Thailand, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Dubai/UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan | 65+ | 40–64 | under 40 |
| Group B: in-depth assessment | UK, Schengen, USA, Canada, Australia | 75+ | 50–74 | under 50 |
Group B destinations usually ask for more evidence and look harder at ties and finances, so the checker asks for a higher score before showing Strong. The groups are our own judgement, not an official ranking.
Chapter 04
What your result means

Strong file
Your file looks strong for [Destination]. Score: [XX]/100.
Your answers show a clear purpose, the means to pay for the trip and good reasons to return to Pakistan. That is what visa officers look for. Strong is not approval: the decision belongs to the embassy or immigration authority, and they can ask for more.
Next steps
- Collect the documents for your situation from the [Destination] document checklist.
- Make sure every number agrees: salary certificate, bank statement and tax return should tell the same story.
- Before you fly, read our FIA airport checklist so you carry the right papers.
Want a second pair of eyes before you submit? Send your result to us on WhatsApp and we'll review your file. WhatsApp us about this visa
Moderate file
Your file is moderate for [Destination]. Score: [XX]/100.
Some parts of your file are solid, but a few answers may raise questions with the visa officer. Most of them can be fixed with better documents or more time. See "What lowered your score" below.
Next steps
- Work on the 2–3 items listed below before you apply.
- If your bank balance is the weak point, read how much bank balance you need for a visit visa and use the bank statement calculator.
- If [Destination] is a Group B country and you have little travel history, consider building it first with an easier destination. See which countries are easiest for Pakistanis.
We can go through your documents and tell you honestly whether to apply now or wait. WhatsApp us about this visa
Needs work
Your file needs work before you apply for [Destination]. Score: [XX]/100.
Applying now could lead to a refusal, and many countries ask about previous refusals on every later application. This result is a to-do list, not a verdict on you.
Next steps
- Start with the first item under "What lowered your score".
- Give your finances time: 6 months of normal account activity is easier to explain than a sudden deposit.
- Get your tax filing in order with FBR if you are not yet a filer.

Chapter 05
What lowered your score: fixes we show
| Weak answer | What we tell the user |
|---|---|
| No travel history | "Officers have less evidence that you return on time. A trip to an e-visa destination first can help, but only take a trip you actually want. Never invent travel history." |
| Recent refusal | "Read your refusal letter carefully and fix each reason it gives. Declare every refusal honestly. Hiding one is treated far more seriously than the refusal itself." |
| Not a tax filer | "A tax return is the standard proof of income in Pakistan. Filing with FBR before you apply makes your income easier to prove." |
| Low documented income | "Make sure all real income is documented: salary certificate, rental agreements, business accounts. If a family member pays, include their documents and proof of relationship." |
| Balance below trip cost | "Your funds should cover the whole trip comfortably. Use the bank statement calculator to see the official figures where they exist." |
| Unexplained large deposit | "Money that appears suddenly, without a clear source, is a common reason for refusal. Keep the documents that prove where it came from (sale deed, gratuity letter, gift deed with the giver's statement), or wait until your balance builds normally." |
| Weak ties | "Show what you are coming back to: employer leave letter, business registration, property documents, family registration certificate (FRC) from NADRA." |
| Sponsor without documents | "If someone else pays, the officer needs their ID, proof of relationship, and their financial documents. Without these, the sponsor letter carries little weight." |
| Trip length doesn't fit | "Your trip should fit your approved leave or term dates. A trip longer than your leave raises questions about your return." |
Chapter 06
Red-flag and stop messages

Overstay or deportation (forces Needs work):
A previous overstay or deportation is serious and most countries ask about it directly. Answer honestly on every form. Please talk to us before applying so we can look at your history and tell you which destinations, if any, are realistic now.
Offloaded before (warning):
Being offloaded at a Pakistani airport is not a visa refusal, but you should be ready to show complete documents next time. Read our FIA airport checklist.
Undocumented large deposit (caps at Moderate):
A large recent deposit you cannot explain can look like borrowed or "parked" money. Never borrow money to show in your account. Wait, or gather proof of the source.
Passport validity (warning):
Many countries need your passport to be valid well beyond your return date, and the rule differs by country. Check your destination's rule and renew first if needed.
Stop: travelling to find paid employment:
We can't help with this. Working on a visit visa is illegal in almost every country, and in Pakistan it can lead to prosecution under the Emigration Ordinance. We only assist genuine visitors. If you want to go abroad for employment, use a licensed Overseas Employment Promoter registered with the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment.
Chapter 07
Frequently asked questions
Does the eligibility checker tell me if my visa will be approved?
No. The checker scores how complete and consistent your file looks against the points embassies commonly assess. Only the embassy or immigration authority decides, and it can refuse a strong file or approve a modest one.
Is the eligibility checker free?
Yes. The checker is free and runs in your browser. Your answers are not saved unless you choose to send your result to us on WhatsApp.
Why does the UK, USA, Canada, Schengen or Australia need a higher score?
These destinations assess your ties and finances in more depth than most e-visa countries, so the checker asks for a higher score before it shows Strong. The thresholds are shown openly on the page.
My result says Needs work. Should I still apply?
Fix the points listed first. Applying with a weak file can lead to a refusal, and a refusal has to be declared on many later applications. A Needs work result is a to-do list, not a ban.
Are the income and balance bands official embassy rules?
No. The PKR bands in the checker are our own guide for scoring. Where an embassy publishes an official funds figure, we show it on our bank statement guide with the source.
