Chapter 02
Can Pakistanis get a Saudi tourist visa in 2026?
Yes, Pakistani passport holders can get a Saudi tourist visa in 2026, but Pakistan is not on the standard eVisa nationality list. The official Saudi eVisa portal lists 68 eligible countries, and Pakistan is not one of them (checked 13 October 2026). That leaves three routes:
- eVisa by exception. Pakistanis who hold a valid US, UK or Schengen tourist or business visa that has been used at least once to enter that country, or who hold permanent residence in the US, UK or an EU country, can apply online (Gulf News, June 2023). GCC residents can also apply online (Khaleej Times).
- Tourist visa through Tasheer. Since July 2024, Pakistanis without a qualifying visa can apply at one of six Tasheer offices with a bank statement showing a minimum monthly credit of USD 750 (Dawn, 3 July 2024).
- Family visit visa. A relative living legally in Saudi Arabia sponsors you.
Dawn also reported that Pakistanis with a valid, used US, UK or Schengen visa can get a visa on arrival. We still recommend getting the eVisa before you fly, because airlines check documents at check-in.
Chapter 03
How much is the Saudi visa fee for Pakistanis?
The Saudi tourist eVisa costs SAR 300 plus a SAR 39.44 application fee and compulsory Saudi medical insurance, according to Gulf News (June 2023). The insurance price depends on the provider, so the final total shows at checkout.
| Cost item | Official amount | Our service fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tourist eVisa | SAR 300 + SAR 39.44 + insurance, as of 13 Oct 2026 | Quote on WhatsApp | Official + service fee |
| Tasheer tourist visa | Not published | Quote on WhatsApp | Confirmed before you pay |
| Family visit visa | Not confirmed for 2026 | Quote on WhatsApp | Confirmed before you pay |
For the family visit visa, the last officially sourced figure is from 2019, when the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad cut the visit visa fee for Pakistanis to SAR 338 (single entry) and SAR 675 (multiple entry) (Gulf News, 2019). Treat this as historical until it is reconfirmed. Tasheer also charges its own service fee. See our Saudi visa fee breakdown for Pakistanis and the all-country fees page.
Chapter 04
What documents do Pakistanis need for a Saudi visit visa?
For every route you need a passport valid for at least six months beyond your entry date, a recent photo, and proof of how you will pay for the trip. The full list depends on the route, as explained under each route above.
Common to all applicants
- Passport (6+ months validity) and CNIC copy
- Recent photo on a white background
- Bank statement; for the Tasheer tourist route, Dawn reported a minimum monthly credit of USD 750 or equivalent
- Return ticket and hotel booking (genuine and cancellable is fine)
- Polio vaccination certificate (and meningitis vaccination if you will perform Umrah; see below)
eVisa route: a copy of your used US, UK or Schengen visa with the entry stamp, or your US/UK/EU residence card or GCC residence (Emirates ID, iqama). Gulf News reported that a digital entry record is not accepted as proof of use.
If you are employed
- Salary certificate and employer NOC with approved leave dates
- Last 3–6 months' bank statement showing salary credits
- FBR tax return (NTN) if you file
If you run a business
- Business NTN, Chamber of Commerce or SECP registration
- Business and personal bank statements, bank maintenance letter
If you are a student
- Enrolment letter and student card; parent's sponsorship letter, CNIC and bank statement
If you are a housewife or dependent
- Spouse's sponsorship letter, CNIC and bank statement; nikah nama or NADRA marriage certificate; Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
If you are retired
- Pension book or pension bank credits; property or savings documents
If you are a freelancer
- Bank statement showing regular foreign remittances; client contracts or platform earnings report; FBR tax return
Family visit visa extras: the sponsor's iqama copy, the MOFA application number they generate, and proof of relationship such as your FRC, birth certificate or nikah nama.

Chapter 05
How do you apply, step by step?
- Check your route with our eligibility checker.
- eVisa: create an account at visa.visitsaudi.com, choose tourism, declare your qualifying visa or residence, upload your passport and visa, choose insurance and pay by card.
- Tasheer tourist visa: book an appointment on the Tasheer website, attend with originals for biometrics, and collect the passport (Dawn).
- Family visit: your relative applies on the MOFA visa platform and sends you the application number; you then submit your passport and documents at Tasheer.
- Before flying: print the visa, carry your vaccination certificates and follow our offloading checklist.
Chapter 06
How long does a Saudi visa take?
A Saudi tourist eVisa is usually issued online, often within minutes, if your qualifying visa or residence checks out (Gulf News). Tasheer tourist and family visit visas have no published processing time. Apply at least three to four weeks before you travel.
Chapter 07
Can you perform Umrah on a Saudi tourist visa?
Yes. The official Saudi eVisa portal says the tourist visa covers tourism, family visits, events and Umrah, but not Hajj. From 10 October 2026, Pakistani Umrah travellers must have meningitis and polio vaccinations (Express Tribune, 11 October 2026). Umrah permits are booked through official Saudi channels. We do not sell Umrah packages; use a licensed Umrah operator for that part of your trip.

Chapter 08
Why do Saudi visit visas get refused (and how to avoid it)?
Saudi visit visas are usually refused because the file does not match the route or the money trail. Read more on Saudi visa refusal reasons.
| Refusal reason | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| Applying for the eVisa with an unused US/UK/Schengen visa | Use the visa first, or apply through Tasheer |
| Bank statement below the reported USD 750 monthly credit, or a sudden deposit | Show regular income over several months |
| Sponsor's iqama expired or relationship not proven | Renew the iqama first; attach FRC or nikah nama |
| Name or date mismatch between passport and CNIC | Correct records at NADRA before applying |
| Past overstay or violation in Saudi Arabia | Disclose honestly; a past overstay can block new visas |
Chapter 09
What happens at the airport? (FIA and arrival checks)

At Pakistani airports, FIA immigration can stop a visit-visa traveller whose documents look incomplete. The FIA FAQ lists a valid passport, return ticket, confirmed hotel booking, sufficient funds and a sound profile. Dawn reported over 66,000 travellers offloaded in 2025, mostly visit, Umrah and work travellers (Dawn, 18 December 2025). Since October 2026, staff at major airports also check visas, return tickets, hotel details, funds and travel insurance before immigration (trips.pk citing Express Tribune).
Carry printed copies of your visa, hotel booking, return ticket, bank statement, employer NOC or business papers, and your polio certificate. Government employees need a departmental NOC (FIA FAQ). Use our offloading checklist. Nobody can promise you will not be stopped; a complete, genuine file is the best preparation.
On arrival in Saudi Arabia, officers may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details.
Chapter 10
Pakistanis living in the UAE or other GCC countries
Pakistanis with valid residence in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman can apply for the Saudi tourist eVisa online (Khaleej Times). Upload your residence visa or Emirates ID with your passport. Keep at least six months' passport validity and enough residence validity to return. Many UAE residents also drive in through the land border; the visa rules are the same.
Pakistanis living inside Saudi Arabia do not need a visit visa; they can instead sponsor parents, spouses or children for a family visit visa.

Chapter 11
Saudi Arabia vs. similar destinations
| Destination | Route for most Pakistanis | Online? |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | eVisa only with US/UK/Schengen visa or GCC residence; otherwise Tasheer | Partly |
| Dubai / UAE | UAE sponsor or registered agent | Yes, via sponsor |
| UK | Standard Visitor visa | Online + VFS |
A used UK visa or Schengen visa is the single biggest shortcut to a Saudi eVisa.
Chapter 12
