Chapter 02
Does Indonesia give visa on arrival to Pakistanis?
No. Indonesia does not give visa on arrival to Pakistani passport holders in 2026. This is how we checked it, so you can repeat the check yourself:
- Open the official portal, evisa.imigrasi.go.id, and go to the visa selection page.
- Choose your passport country: Pakistan.
- Choose the purpose "General, Family, or Social" and then "Tourism, Family Visit, and Transit".
- Look at the visa types offered.
For Pakistan, on 13 October 2026, the portal returned only:
- C1 – Tourist Single Entry Visitor Visa – 60 Days
- D1 – Tourist Multiple Entry Visa (5 Years)
- D1 – Tourist Multiple Entry Visa (2 Years)
- D1 – Tourist Multiple Entry Visa (1 Year)
"B1 – Tourist (Visa On Arrival)" was not on the list. We ran the same check for an Indian passport, and B1 did appear there. That confirms the portal is not hiding VOA from everyone; Pakistan is simply not on the VOA nationality list.
Chapter 03
Why do some sites say Pakistanis can get visa on arrival?
Some Pakistani agency pages and international "visa guide" sites still say Pakistanis are eligible for Indonesian visa on arrival. We found at least one such page in October 2026, while others correctly say a visa is needed in advance. The likely reasons are:
- Old information. Indonesia's visa system was redesigned several times after 2020, with new visa codes (B1, C1, D1).
- Copied templates. Programmatic sites write one page per nationality and copy text written for VOA-eligible countries.
- Confusing names. "e-VOA", "e-visa" and "visit visa" sound alike. The e-VOA is the online version of the B1 visa on arrival, and only VOA-eligible nationalities can use it. The C1 is a separate visitor e-visa that Pakistanis can get.
The official portal is the only reliable answer. If a website says "visa on arrival for Pakistanis", check it against evisa.imigrasi.go.id before you buy a ticket.
Chapter 04
What should Pakistanis apply for instead?
Pakistani tourists should apply for the C1 Tourist Single Entry Visitor Visa online at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Key facts from the official portal on 13 October 2026:
| Item | C1 tourist e-visa |
|---|---|
| Official fee | IDR 1,000,000 (≈ PKR 15,400) |
| Stay | Up to 60 days, extendable inside Indonesia |
| Must enter within | 90 days of issue |
| Sponsor needed? | No, Pakistan is not on the guarantor-only list |
| Documents | Passport valid 6+ months; personal bank statement for last 3 months with at least USD 2,000 or equivalent; recent colour photo |
| Allowed activities | Tourism, visiting friends or family, transit, attending meetings, conventions and exhibitions as a participant |
| Not allowed | Any profit-making activity, speaking at events, overstaying |
| Refund if refused | No |
If you visit Indonesia several times a year, the D1 multiple-entry tourist visa (IDR 3,000,000 for 1 year) may suit you better. It also requires proof of at least USD 2,000 and one supporting document such as a travel itinerary or CV.
Full fee, document and step-by-step details are on our main Indonesia visit visa for Pakistanis page.

Chapter 05
Watch out: fake "visa on arrival" and e-visa websites
Because Pakistanis search "Indonesia visa on arrival", lookalike sites target exactly this search. In our October 2026 search check, sites such as e-visa-indonesia.com, evisa-indonesia.info and evisa-imigrasi-go.id ranked near the official portal. None of them is the Indonesian government. The last one imitates the official address using dashes.
Rules to protect yourself:
- The only official address is evisa.imigrasi.go.id (ending in .go.id).
- The official C1 fee is IDR 1,000,000. A site quoting a dollar "package" with "processing" or "express" add-ons is a middleman.
- No site can sell you a "visa on arrival" for a Pakistani passport, because Indonesia does not offer one.
See our fake visa websites guide for the official domain of every country.
Chapter 06
Can Pakistanis living in the UAE or Saudi Arabia get visa on arrival?
No. Residence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or any other country does not change Indonesian visa eligibility on the official portal, because the portal asks for your passport nationality. A Pakistani passport holder with an Emirates ID or iqama applies for the same C1 e-visa online. A Gulf bank statement can show the USD 2,000 equivalent.
Chapter 07
What happens if you fly without a visa?
Do not try it. Airlines check entry documents before boarding, so a Pakistani passenger without an Indonesian visa will very likely be refused at check-in. At the Pakistani airport, FIA immigration also checks that your visa is valid for your destination, alongside your return ticket, hotel booking and funds, as listed in the FIA FAQ. Read our offloading checklist before you travel.

Chapter 08
Which nearby countries are easier for Pakistanis?
None of Indonesia's main neighbours offers visa on arrival to Pakistanis either, but some have simple online systems. Compare the Malaysia visa for Pakistanis and the Sri Lanka visa for Pakistanis if you are choosing between destinations.
Chapter 09
Frequently asked questions
Is there a visa on arrival in Indonesia for Pakistanis?
No. On 13 October 2026 the official Indonesian e-visa portal, evisa.imigrasi.go.id, did not offer the B1 Visa on Arrival to Pakistani passport holders. Pakistanis must get the C1 tourist e-visa online before travelling.
Can Pakistanis apply for the Indonesia e-VOA online?
No. The e-VOA is the online version of the B1 Visa on Arrival, and it is only open to nationalities on the VOA list. Pakistan is not on that list, so the online e-VOA option does not appear for Pakistani passports.
Can a Pakistani with a UAE residence visa get an Indonesian visa on arrival?
No. Indonesian visa eligibility on the official portal is set by nationality, not residence. A Pakistani passport holder living in the UAE or Saudi Arabia still needs the C1 tourist e-visa before flying.
Is Indonesia open to Pakistani tourists in 2026?
Yes. Indonesia issues tourist visas to Pakistanis in 2026 through the C1 single-entry e-visa (IDR 1,000,000, up to 60 days) and the D1 multiple-entry tourist visa. Only the visa-on-arrival route is closed to Pakistani passports.
Why do some websites say Pakistanis can get Indonesia visa on arrival?
Some agency and travel sites are out of date or copy information written for other nationalities. Always check the official portal, evisa.imigrasi.go.id, where selecting Pakistan shows only C1 and D1 tourist visas.
What happens if a Pakistani flies to Indonesia without a visa?
You are very likely to be refused boarding by the airline, because airlines check entry documents before departure. If you did reach Indonesia, you would face refusal of entry and return at your own cost.
