What are the official Dubai visit visa requirements for Pakistanis?
The official Dubai tourist visa requirements for Pakistani passport holders, as listed by GDRFA Dubai on 13 October 2026, are short:

That is the government minimum. Since 2025, UAE sponsors and Pakistani agents ask for more. The sponsor is penalised if a visitor overstays, and Pakistan's foreign ministry has said forged degrees and employment documents led to stricter background checks (Arab News, 1 August 2026). The checklists below combine the official list with what a Pakistani file needs to look genuine and complete.
Chapter 02
Core checklist for every Pakistani applicant
- Passport, valid at least 6 months beyond travel, with a clear colour scan of the bio page. Old passports showing past travel help.
- Photo, recent and in colour, with a white background and no glasses.
- CNIC, front and back, matching the passport spelling.
- Confirmed return ticket. FIA prefers the same airline and PNR as your outbound flight.
- Hotel booking (a real, cancellable reservation), or your host's address, Emirates ID copy and tenancy contract.
- Bank statement, ideally the last 6 months, in your own name, bank-stamped or downloaded with a QR or verification code.
- Proof of ties to Pakistan: one of the applicant-type documents below.
Chapter 03
Documents by applicant type
If you are employed
- Salary certificate or employment letter on company letterhead, with designation, joining date and salary
- Approved leave letter or NOC from your employer, stating your travel dates
- Salary slips for the last 3 months
- Bank statement showing salary credits
- Government employees: a departmental NOC. FIA asks for the original at the airport (FIA FAQ)
If you run a business
- NTN certificate and your latest FBR income tax return
- Business registration: SECP incorporation certificate, partnership deed, or Chamber of Commerce membership certificate
- Business bank statement (6 months) plus your personal bank statement
- Company letterhead letter stating your role and purpose of travel (optional, but it helps)
If you are a student
- Student ID card and enrolment or bonafide letter from your school or university
- Parent's bank statement, parent's CNIC and NADRA family registration certificate (FRC) to prove the link
- Parent's sponsorship letter
Students travelling with their family make a stronger file than students travelling alone.
If you are a housewife or dependent
- Nikah nama (NADRA-issued marriage registration certificate preferred)
- Husband's CNIC, passport copy and his employment or business documents
- Husband's bank statement
- FRC from NADRA showing the family
If you are retired
- Pension book, pension slip or retirement letter
- Bank statement showing pension credits
- If visiting children in the UAE: the child's sponsorship documents (see the family section below)
If you are a freelancer
- Client contracts, invoices or platform earnings statements
- Bank statement showing incoming foreign remittances. Proceeds Realisation Certificates (PRCs) help
- NTN and FBR return, if you are a filer
- A short cover note explaining your income

Chapter 04
What extra documents do families and children need?
Families travelling together need each member's passport, photo and identity document, plus documents proving the relationship:
- FRC from NADRA (shows parents and children together)
- Nikah nama for spouses
- B-form (CRC) for children under 18, alongside both parents' CNICs
- If a child travels with one parent only: a consent letter from the other parent with a CNIC copy (commonly asked; confirm with the sponsor and airline)
Families have reported the smoothest processing since the August 2026 resumption (Arab News).

What documents are needed when a relative in Dubai sponsors you?
When a UAE resident sponsors your visit visa, the sponsor applies and needs:
- proof of employment: a salary certificate, work contract or partnership contract
- proof of the relationship: a birth certificate or marriage contract
- your passport copy, photo and CNIC copy
- a statement explaining the visit (GDRFA)
ICP lists minimum sponsor salaries of AED 4,000 a month for first-degree relatives, AED 8,000 for second- and third-degree relatives and AED 15,000 for friends (ICP). The sponsor also pays a refundable security deposit.
From the Pakistan side, the visitor should still carry their own CNIC, FRC (for parents visiting children), return ticket and the sponsor's Emirates ID copy and address for the airport.

What extra documents does the 5-year Dubai visa need?
The 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa needs:
- a 6-month bank statement showing USD 4,000 or equivalent
- UAE health insurance
- a round-trip ticket
- a photo and a passport copy (GDRFA)
No UAE sponsor is needed. An AED 3,000 refundable deposit is part of the fee (see Dubai visa fees).

What about the UAE visa centre and biometrics in Pakistan?
Some UAE visit and family visa applications from Pakistan go through the UAE visa centre route, with an online form and biometrics in person. Reports from May 2025 say:
- applicants aged 5 and over give biometrics
- a USD 69 fee is paid at Bank Alfalah
- from 2 June 2025, entry to the visa centre needs a verified appointment code
- applicants need a certified 6-month bank statement showing at least USD 5,000 (TechJuice)
Most tourist e-visas filed by tourism companies do not need a visa centre visit. We will tell you which route your application takes.

What will FIA check at the airport?
FIA lists the documents it expects visit-visa travellers to carry (FIA FAQ):
- a valid passport
- a return ticket
- a confirmed hotel booking with advance payment
- sufficient funds, "e.g. at least 2000 EUR for Dubai"
- a sound profile
Since October 2026, pre-immigration desks at major Pakistani airports reportedly also check travel insurance (trips.pk citing Express Tribune, 1 October 2026). Use our offloading checklist the night before you fly.

Common document mistakes that lead to refusal
- A name spelled differently on the passport, CNIC and ticket
- A bank statement with a large cash deposit just before applying
- An unpaid or fake hotel booking or ticket. This is document fraud and can lead to a ban.
- Employment letters or degrees that cannot be verified
- Applying with a passport that has less than 6 months left

Frequently asked questions
What documents are required for a Dubai visa from Pakistan?
GDRFA Dubai officially requires a passport copy valid for at least six months, a personal photo and, for Pakistani nationals, a CNIC copy. The visa terms also require a ticket to leave the UAE and valid UAE health insurance. Sponsors usually also ask Pakistanis for a bank statement, hotel booking and proof of ties to Pakistan.
Is a CNIC required for a Dubai visa?
Yes. GDRFA's tourist visa pages list a national identity card from the country of origin for Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, so Pakistani applicants must submit a CNIC copy (front and back), checked on 13 October 2026.
Is a bank statement required for a Dubai visit visa?
It is not on GDRFA's official list for the 30- or 60-day tourist visa, but sponsors and agents commonly ask Pakistani applicants for one, and it is mandatory for the 5-year visa (USD 4,000 over six months). FIA also checks funds at the airport.
What documents does my relative in Dubai need to sponsor me?
The UAE resident sponsor needs proof of employment (salary certificate or work contract), proof of the family relationship, such as a birth certificate or marriage contract, your passport copy, photo and CNIC copy, plus the security deposit. ICP sets minimum sponsor salaries starting at AED 4,000 a month for first-degree relatives.
Do children need a CNIC for a Dubai visa?
Children do not have a CNIC; use the child's B-form (CRC) or NADRA family registration certificate together with the parents' CNICs and passports. Confirm with the sponsor, as GDRFA's page does not address minors separately.
Do I need travel insurance for Dubai?
Yes, valid UAE health insurance is a condition of the tourist visa (GDRFA), and it is normally bought by the sponsor with the visa. Pakistani airports may also check insurance during pre-immigration checks.
