Chapter 02
How much is the UK visit visa fee for Pakistanis in 2026?
The UK visit visa fee for a Pakistani applicant is GBP 135 for a Standard Visitor visa valid up to 6 months, from 8 April 2026. This is the same fee for every nationality applying outside the UK, and the same for adults and children. Visiting family, tourism and permitted business visits all use this one visa and one fee.
The fee rose by GBP 8 on 8 April 2026. Older articles that still quote GBP 127 are out of date.
Chapter 03
How much do the 2, 5 and 10-year UK visit visas cost?
UK long-term visit visas cost GBP 506 (2 years), GBP 903 (5 years) and GBP 1,128 (10 years) from 8 April 2026. They let you visit many times, up to 6 months per visit.
Two rules matter before you pay more:
- You may get a shorter visa than you paid for. GOV.UK says the Home Office can issue a shorter visa than requested, and the fee difference is not refunded.
- Under-18s: a long-term visa for a child is only valid until 6 months after their 18th birthday, and the fee is not refunded.
For a first visit, or if your passport has little travel to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or Schengen, the 6-month visa is usually the sensible choice.
Chapter 04
What does a UK visit visa really cost a Pakistani family?
Every family member applies separately and pays the full fee; there is no child discount for the Standard Visitor visa. A worked example for a family of four on 6-month visas:
| Item | Per person | Family of 4 |
|---|---|---|
| Home Office visa fee | GBP 135 | GBP 540 (≈ PKR 198,000) |
| Priority (optional, if offered) | GBP 500 | GBP 2,000 |
| VFS optional services | Optional, Pakistan prices not confirmed | Optional |
| Translations (Urdu documents such as nikah nama, FRC if not bilingual) | Varies by translator | Varies |
| Our service fee | Quote on WhatsApp | Per family quote |
Biometrics at the VFS Global centre are part of the standard process. VFS also sells optional extras (for example premium appointment slots); none of them change the decision. A GOV.UK notice from 2015 set a GBP 59 surcharge at the Mirpur centre, with no surcharge in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi .

Chapter 05
How do you pay the UK visa fee from Pakistan?
You pay the UK visa fee online, in pounds sterling, at the end of the GOV.UK application, before booking biometrics. Use a debit or credit card enabled for international online payments; many Pakistani bank cards need this switched on through the banking app or helpline first. Your bank converts the GBP amount into rupees at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction charge.
Never pay a "visa fee" into a personal bank account, JazzCash or Easypaisa number. The Home Office fee only goes through the GOV.UK payment page.
Chapter 06
Does priority or super priority speed up a UK visit visa from Pakistan?
Priority and super priority make the Home Office decide faster, not more favourably. GOV.UK says priority usually gives a decision within 5 working days (GBP 500 extra) and super priority by the end of the next working day after biometrics (GBP 1,000 extra). You are only told whether these services are available when you apply, and availability in Pakistan varies.
Pay for priority only if your dates are fixed and your file is complete. A rushed, weak file refused in 5 days costs you GBP 635 instead of GBP 135.
Chapter 07
Is the UK visa fee refunded if I am refused?
No. The UK visit visa fee is not refunded if your application is refused, and priority fees are not refunded either. There is also usually no paid review route for visitors: the GBP 80 administrative review only applies to the routes listed in Appendix AR, and visitor routes are not on that list. That is why it is worth spending time on the file before paying. See UK visit visa refusal: reasons and reapplying.

Frequently asked questions
What is the UK visit visa fee for Pakistanis in 2026?
The UK Standard Visitor visa fee is GBP 135 for a visa valid up to 6 months, from 8 April 2026. It was GBP 127 before that date. The same fee applies to adults and children.
How much is the UK 2-year, 5-year and 10-year visit visa fee?
From 8 April 2026 the UK long-term visit visa costs GBP 506 for 2 years, GBP 903 for 5 years and GBP 1,128 for 10 years. Each visit can last up to 6 months.
Is the UK visa fee refunded if my visa is refused?
No. The UK visa fee is a processing fee and is not refunded if the application is refused. If you ask for a long-term visa and are given a shorter one, the difference is not refunded either.
How much does UK priority visa cost from Pakistan?
The Home Office charges GBP 500 for the priority service (decision usually within 5 working days) and GBP 1,000 for super priority (usually by the end of the next working day), on top of the visa fee. GOV.UK says you will be told whether you can use them when you apply.
Can I pay the UK visa fee in Pakistani rupees?
The UK visa fee is set and charged in pounds sterling when you submit the GOV.UK form online. Your bank converts it to rupees, so the PKR amount depends on the exchange rate and your card's charges on the day.
Do children pay the full UK visit visa fee?
Yes. The Home Office fees table has no reduced Standard Visitor fee for children. Each family member makes a separate application and pays GBP 135 for a 6-month visa.
Is there an extra charge at VFS Global?
The biometrics appointment itself is included in the process, but VFS Global sells optional services such as premium appointments. These are optional, and their Pakistan prices could not be checked on 13 October 2026.
Is the 10-year UK visa worth it for a first visit?
Usually not. GOV.UK says the Home Office may give a shorter visa than you applied for without refunding the difference. Long-term visas suit people who already have a clean UK or major-country travel record.
