Chapter 02
How much is the US visa fee in Pakistan in 2026?
The US visa fee in Pakistan for a B1/B2 visitor visa is USD 185 per applicant, listed as the fee for a "non-petition-based nonimmigrant visa (except E category)" in the US Mission Pakistan Schedule of Fees, effective 13 April 2026. The same USD 185 applies to B1 (business), B2 (tourism and family visits) and the combined B1/B2, and to every applicant including children and elderly parents.
The fee is set in US dollars. When you pay through the official scheduling system, the amount in Pakistani rupees is shown in your profile. Our PKR figure above is only an estimate at today's exchange rate.
Other visa types cost more (for example USD 205 for petition-based H, L, O, P, Q and R visas, and USD 315 for E visas), but those are not visit visas.
Chapter 03
Do Pakistanis pay a reciprocity fee for a US visa?
No. The US reciprocity schedule for Pakistan lists "None" as the issuance fee for B-1, B-2 and B1/B2 visas, with multiple entries and a validity of up to 60 months. Some nationalities pay an extra issuance fee when the visa is approved; Pakistanis do not.
Remember that 60 months is the maximum. A consular officer can issue a visa with shorter validity or fewer entries.
Chapter 04
What is the USD 250 Visa Integrity Fee, and does it apply in Pakistan?
The Visa Integrity Fee is a USD 250 charge created by a US law signed in July 2025, meant to be paid when a nonimmigrant visa (including B1/B2) is issued, and adjusted for inflation over time (VisasNews, trade press). The law allows a refund to travellers who comply with their visa conditions, for example leaving the US on time.
Status for Pakistani applicants as of 13 October 2026:
- The US Mission Pakistan fee schedule effective 13 April 2026 does not list a Visa Integrity Fee.
- We found no notice on pk.usembassy.gov announcing collection.
- Secondary sources report that collection has been uneven worldwide and that no official start date has been published (Ellis).
What this means for you: budget for the possibility of a USD 250 charge if your visa is approved, but do not pay it to anyone unless the US Mission's official system or instructions ask you to. If someone asks you to pay it "in advance" through a private account, refuse.

Chapter 05
How to pay the US visa fee in Pakistan
- Complete your DS-160 and note the confirmation number.
- Create or log in to your profile on the official US visa scheduling system linked from the US Mission Pakistan nonimmigrant visa page. In Pakistan, fee collection and scheduling are run by the contractor CGI.
- Choose your visa type and the payment option shown in your profile, and pay the USD 185 equivalent.
- Keep the receipt number. It is linked to your profile and is needed to book.
- Book your interview, or submit an interview-waiver application if you qualify.
The receipt is valid for 365 days. You must book within that year, though the interview itself may fall later (US Mission Pakistan). Pay only through the official system. The US Mission warns that fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Chapter 07
Is the US visa fee refunded if I am refused?
No. The State Department says the fee "is a non-refundable application processing fee" (Visa Denials, archived 11 July 2026). After a 214(b) refusal you must submit a new DS-160 and pay USD 185 again to reapply.
The one exception is a 221(g) refusal: if you provide the requested information within one year of the refusal, your case is reconsidered without a new fee. After one year you must reapply and pay again. See USA visa refusal: 214(b), 221(g) and reapplying.
Because the fee is lost on refusal, the cheapest strategy is to apply once, when your profile is genuinely ready. Our refusal review service (Quote on WhatsApp) helps you judge whether reapplying now makes sense.

How Visit Visa Specialists helps
We show every cost separately: the official USD 185 is paid by you directly through the official US system, and our service fee is Quote on WhatsApp for full file preparation, DS-160 review and interview preparation, or Quote on WhatsApp for interview preparation only. We never handle "appointment purchases" and never sell interview slots. The consular officer alone decides your visa. Read the full USA visit visa guide for Pakistanis.
